Litas Mainstone was an essential part of the hydraulic design process for this successful project. We supplied and installed the property with a ring main system, which specialises in the delivery of instantaneous hot water. Most builders and plumbers do not offer the system, and are unfamiliar with its benefits. However, we're always looking for ways to deliver more for each of our clients, and the ring main system is one we regularly use in our luxury home projects.
So how does it work? Put simply, a ring main system circulates hot water from one tap to the next, continuing in a loop through the hot water plumbing until it returns to the hot water system. In a typical plumbing setup, there is only one main hot water line, which then separates into branches. This normal setup means that hot water will not immediately be ready to provide to any particular branch at any time – generally meaning there are a couple minutes before the hot water reaches its end point – such as your shower.
The unique circulating loop system used by ring main solves this problem, so that hot water is always available, as soon as you need it.
